5 Skin Celebrating Foods That Beautify From Within

1. Greek Yogurt with Pomegranate and Honey

A skin-saving breakfast fit for the gods, greek yogurt with pomegranate and honey is as tasty as it is beautifying. Greek yogurt is affectionately known as the “wrinkle fighter” for its ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s packed with B vitamins which help detoxify the skin. Pomegranate arils help give your skin a naturally healthy glow with polyphenols which help regulate your skin’s blood flow and fight free-radicals. Honey is rich in antioxidants and has natural antibacterial properties, making it the skin-healthiest way to add sweetness to your diet. Using local honey has the added benefit of protecting you from allergens in your area. Together these ingredients form a skin-power trifecta. 

2. A Salad of Beans, Greens, Tomatoes, and Peppers

For a filling, skin-improving lunch, feast on kale, spinach, tomatoes, peppers and kidney beans. Kale and spinach are full of powerful vitamins, including vitamin A which promotes healthy skin cell turnover and helps fight acne. Consider massaging it with flaxseed oil, which adds Omega-3s to protect from pollution and smooths your skin. 4. Feast on Fishes

Fatty fish like salmon, trout, tuna, and anchovies are miracle workers for skin. Full of omega-3 fatty acids, these fish help strengthen your skin barrier and decrease inflammation. These fish are high in proteins that promote collagen production that improves skin plumpness and elasticity. High in selenium, fatty fish also protects against and can even help reverse damage from the sun. Maximize the benefits of these fish by eating them with skin superfoods like sweet potatoes, quinoa and broccoli. 

5. Enjoy Berries and Dark Chocolate for Dessert
